I will not surrender or give up on love completely,
for this has been a long private journey,
our place in time where we have traveled far.
Past the point of no return of what lies ahead and beyond,
and what may never be.

So long past the spur of the moment
where there is no beginning to the end,
nor is there a course to steer us in the right direction.
For even if there were, I know not the path I'd take.

It is in the here and now and forever and always
beneath the falls of sweet surrender.
A place I've swam to and away from,
and no longer wish to dwell upon.
Leaving to pool in the past behind me.

Out of sight and presumably out of mind
but always by your side, if you want me to be.
If there should ever come a day when our hearts are set free,
it is then I will surrender, and love you completely.

very nice sentiments...friendship sometimes holds the best until it can become deeper with time and effort.

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."

mmmm....I know this longing...and I am both a fan of Blues and Serenades, so you couldn't miss with me...but this is touchingly honest and I was moved by the sincerity of this piece. Enjoyed much.

Thank you for reading Wynter,
but I have to ask you,
why aren't you reading your mail?
Get with it sister.  *hugs*

Oh that was sweet of you to say.
I sat down last night and
let my thoughts go, instead
of picking my work apart like I
normally do, I just let the words flow.
Thank you Serenity~

======================================

the soft spoken devotion and longing in those lines touched me in places deep...
this whole poem is a lovely reflective piece
of one accepting things as they come to be and finding their peace in that.
wonderful writing poetess.
what a great smile you have

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
In the sunlight, in the shadows ...
No ... I'll never stop looking for you.

Thank you Janet Marie for understanding my ramblings in their entirety.  Acceptance and inner peace go hand in hand. I appreciate your nice compliments.

Noah you are much to kind, I do enjoy this forum but it's not easy to keep up with.   There are so many talented writers such as yourself, it is a pleasure indeed to be a small part of passions.
Thank you.
