As the sun starts to shine, The timid rose starts to peek through her leaves. As the sun brightens and begins to care for the rose, She starts to come through her leaves and shyly show her soft glowing petals. The sun urges the shy rose to show him her beauty and tells her to trust him for he will protect her always. The rose cautiously opens her bud and shows the sun a beauty and love he has never seen before. All too soon, the sun's warmth starts to fade and he slowly stops encouraging the sweet rose. Being naive, the rose keeps her blossum open, waiting for her protective sun to return. Before long, the sky becomes very dark and cold. The rose realizes the sun is gone, and with it, the warmth and light he once showed her. Knowing that she could die without him now, the rose sadly starts to retreat back to the safety of her leaves. But she never closes her petals entirely because she believes that her sun will return with the faith and trust only true love can offer. |

The rose keeps herself just ready to again open her petals and let the sun of a new day warm her into life. Remember how the rose returns each season with the inner knowledge that the sun will kiss her to life anew. **hugs** a beautiful poem..filled with hope after the painful thorns of life have pierced her. **Hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting this the right way, but I think there can be 2 endings... Yesh, the sun might return, and the rose can bask in the sun's warmth again. Or a cloud or a person carrying a watering can might come along and water the rose (plant) - which sounds to me like the 'rose' is weeping, and this someone new comforts her I might sound a little off, coz I am not too sure about this myself too... But that's just me thinking hehe [This message has been edited by Mon Cherie (edited 12-03-2001).] |
