Love Possesses You

Love possesses you:

Holds you in its lovely essence,

Sometimes seems the only thing true,

Captures some in its mere presence,

Makes many blind to another's disloyalties,

Repairs your heart when all seems lost,

Helps one forgive no matter what the complexities,

Most believe it was worth the risk regardless of the cost,

An unseen power that helps keep sanity alive,

Proof to me personally that God truly does exist,

Cannot even be taken away by the ones that you survive,

Knowing when you're gone you surely will be missed,

Grows oh so much stronger with every beat of your heart,

Unable to physically see or hold but you know that it is here,

A creation that was destined to save us all from the very start,

Putting your faith in it and the Lord can rescue you from fear
