“WALKING TOGETHER”

We walk together, him and me,
in some parallel universe,
for we have the same thoughts,
writing and sharing words in
our poetry…

Emptiness is part of our lives,
hushed whispers I also hear,
and hearts at one time or another
broken in two, not knowing why…

I too wish to be part of them,
understanding we only ask, to look
at what they do not care to
see, to know my thoughts, as
he needs them to know his…

The loneliness that overcomes,
in two different worlds, but
the same, sharing, even though
one can’t see the other, but we
share, knowing the same feelings…

My decisions made, the same, as
the one whom I call my friend,
who made them also, for better
or worse, even with the
loneliness that we both know…

My friend Sven, I stand with
you, come what may, whatever
may be, but I ask, do not stand
alone, for I will walk by your side…

What a wonderful poem of friendship you have penned, Bill. This would touch anyones heart and I see that it has touched our dear Sven's. Tender loving hearts is also something very special you two share. **hugs**
