The White Glove Cannot you see it? That perfect, stark white glove for opera, she is pulling it on just now, slowly, with intent, onto her left hand. Her right hand’s fingers caress lightly her left wrist, slightly tugging, gently easing the glove up her silken arm, then smoothing the gossamer-like cotton of the glove, with her right hand, oblivious, ‘tho it is gloveless. And the art of her is just like a portrait unfinished reposted, seasonal...hopefully, timeless... |

(smiles) Oohhhhhhhhhh, this is definitely a timeless classic to me! (smiles) I have been to the symphony a few times, and I always notice the orchestrator slip on the glove and hold his or her wand in hand. (smiles) It's so beautiful indeed! (sigh) Your poetry always is such a beautiful portrait in display! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Yes, I remember white gloves, the old fashioned kind that came up to the elbows? I thought they were kind of sexy Kathleen (Kay) |

When I read this poem, I thought of a Lady sitting at her dressing table, thinking about the evening ahead, and wondering where she left her other glove, and the hosiery, and her favorite black slip, and her... well, you get the idea - lol. Actually, I think this is a very sweet poem that shows an intimate view of a woman doing something that makes the world go around - being pure feminine. Well done, Karilea! |
