It's okay to cry I know, Being an experienced veteran, Tears carry away pain Wars in the mind, More brutal than bullets At least they end the misery, Can't say that of living on Temporary pain lasting forever, Or so it seems Know the screaming is still there, My buddies killed before my eyes How can I help me....please, Tell me Will time cure me, It hasn't so far My tears my saviors, Pulling agony from brain Mental hurt so indescribable, It saps your spirit Wishing to go back, Home Knowing that I can't, That home died before.... Sir Robert, I can't even imagine. It is too harsh a reality. Agony plainly and painfully expressed. Well done, again. Sin isn't fair, but God got even, grace isn't fair either. larry c |

Yes, it is OK to cry. And you can never really go back home, the homefront always changes. A sad and painful write, Robert, but perhaps a catharsis? |

Robert, a good cry can do wonders and you are never too old or too young to shed the healing tears. Nothing will erase the visions in your brain. Be strong, write out your feelings and know you are never alone. Wishing you peace, ME |

This is so brutally honest and real. A great poem. Thanks for sharing Freedom is not Free (Korean War memorial) |

Yes I know the value of crying...it has a cleansing affect...sometimes I can't cry and I want to...so I appreciate when I finally reach the place I can...James |
