"Love is a sorry slave and a sad master" -Simm's Poems I am O'Henry's leaf and poised to last dark Winter's squall, I pray your gloom be brief I fly alimb while others fall, no painted bas relief nor vanish in the Autumn'd cull, a focus fighting grief with hope I color ashen pall, a borrowed handkerchief to soothe depression's tears you bawl, please know the dark's a thief dawn's light reveals me o'er the wall, nurture your new belief the Bible warms, a prayer shawl, here's yet another sheaf I'll mail to you hope's whispered call, I am O'Henry's leaf. "Happy people have no history" - French Proverb [This message has been edited by RSWells (edited 11-29-2001).] |

This is a very impressive write. It reminded me of one of my favorites poems. For some reason, it brought to mind Gerald Manley Hopkins' " Margaret, are you grieving Over Goldengrove unleaving?" I must say yours is every bit as beautiful and a pure joy to have read today. Thank you! Kathleen (Kay) |

A very chilling photo...and a very heartfelt poem. You never fail to reach the target (my emotions) with your work. |

RS...as bleak as the graphic is..your poem pushes over the walls a feeling that I'm sure would be caught in gratitude, like sun. |

The masterpiece of hope! To paint life...at such a price. Still I believe was more than a simple understanding of faith...on his part. I deeply appreciate your style as always. Sincerely, Regina It's all in the mind |
