Can I Tell you a Secret? Can I tell you a secret? whisper it against the sweet curve of your flowered ear, light it with the power of my breath, it is a love song you know, it is blues it is the opera of my heart. Do you want to hear? Can you listen to this wind that tortures the bluff and blows the surf across reflection? It is hungry for a lusting ear it is a fruit filled ambrosia. Your listening has music that fills me, the quiet ear sings so sweet with eyes like trumpets and breath, curved violin, you finger my rhythm guitar as you slide towards my lips. Can I tell you a secret? Do you want to hear? You must listen or the sound just falls beneath the microphone into the orchestra pit and I will never play this song again. _______________ (I said I would never play this song again, but I am, for this is a repost..LOL...sigh) |
