Not too sure wether this works or not.  It was an attempt to make a poem from the symbols on the the top line of the keyboard. What do you reckon?

Doing a Line.

Exclamation,
in Inverted commas.
constantly thinking in Pound signs
and Dollars,
what Percentage
of Up arrows and Stars.
when placed in Brackets,
dash all hope.
Its always  Minus,
Plus ... never happens.
everything Equals
the Backspace Home.

Hi Ven!!! Gotta admit, the title grabbed me... (some old habits die hard, and THAT one I had to kill before it killed me, if ya know what I mean...) not sure if this was a reference to cocaine, or an inference on my part, but I found even with the explanation of how you wrote this, it still makes for an interesting analogy. Great job, and I do love to watch poets at play....

Oh...just for the hellovett, I will relate a funny story from Bill Cosby. He said he was at a party, and watching someone "snort" cocaine. So he asked, "Hey man, why are you putting that stuff in your nose?" Whereupon the idiot answered, "It intensifies my personality." To which the witful Bill replied, "Yes, but what if you're an (anal orifice)".... (okay, it lost something in the translation, but I must follow forum decorum!   Enjoyed the poem, m'friend!

Goes to show that poetry is EVERYWHERE.  Clever accomplishment, Ven.

Thankyou for the comments. I'm going through a bit of a phase of playing with words and making poems out of just about anything at the moment.
The title just sort of fitted "bit of a double entendre" (no idea if thats spelt right by the way). lol
Also to set the record straight I'd just like to say that the only line's that intensify my personality these days are the ones that come from my pen.
I thank you for your concern, Its much appreciated.

best wishes, Ven

Dearest Ven,

Not my intent to imply you had a problem! I too, thought it clever! (and speaking of intensifying personalities? If you think me obnoxious now, you should have met me THEN... ) Peace, good poet.
