The veil of promise Befits the sculpture They gather in the courtyard To witness the rapture The artist stands in pride Waiting for eyes to behold What he has allowed to seep From the depths of the borrowed He has molded with great skill Millions of particles, putty A trophy unto his target That he mastered in his study There is method to his madness As the shanks of lamp will bend Making him think he has the touch Of a creator deep within He pulled the canvas away in haste Before he saw his handiwork in light The gasp of those surrounding him Made him fall away in fright For Behold his soul should have known That what is Within is Without No matter how you try to twist Your Talent Mirrors your Doubt Standing there in brazen glory Massive as an Eclipsing Sun Was the Broken Heart of his own God And He, the Arrow spun |

Catalinamoon: That is an ultimate compliment and an ultimate goal. Thank you Sandra! ![]() Seymour: I'm touched that you think so! Sven: Inner depreciation of Divine inspiration. If that makes sense. ![]() Lady Of Shallot: Wow! I'm speechless, as I love your forwardness. It grabs me and makes me so excited! ![]() SmartChick: I'm so thankful you stopped in and enjoyed my words. I have really enjoyed yours too! Gentle Spirit: Now that's appreciation. I can't tell you how much that means to me. I can't imagine you not being here to encourage me! Hugs! Sincerely, Regina |

I believe this piece is like a ladder, put in place to lower a soul's thoughts to places that give to the deepest reflection. Wonderful rewards in reading your work... Willie B |

Another lovely write from you, and with such great insight. Whether painting or writing, the soul always shines through. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Dear Regina, masterpieces come in all sizes and are always rewarding. The gift which is shared by many comes from somewhere within, a place that holds inspiration and the touch of self-gratification. The artist and sculptor share their solid visions, where you Regina share with words that cast images to our minds and praise to our replies. Great work here, nice new pic as well. Sincerely Rick Ps, Regina, in the last line, I thought that maybe it might read. In he, the arrow spun?????????????? |

Willie: I am the one rewarded by such a reader! I love the way you described my descending verse. I couldn't have done that myself! Thank You ![]() Tracey: Amen!...and sometimes I don't like it very much...but it happens and it is a part of me too. Marge: I'm so glad you stopped in! Thank you! Hugs! ![]() Rick: Whatever I cast to gain your friendship I hope to continue it always! The thing is though...sometimes our intentions are good on the outside...but we become tainted on the inside...lacking key elements..and it will bleed forward. The artist here lacked compassion and love...so he molded it subconsciously forward. The arrow was he/himself. The weapon. I see where your word change would make sense in one way...but it takes away from the first person guilt. Deep I know...Thank you for the compliment on my pic. I'm getting ready to hibernate! ![]() Interloper: I'm sorry..I do that sometimes, however, I think you're a great thinker! Thank you so much for everything! Magnus: I always appreciate a good connection. Thank you for looking beyond the surface! sigheyes: You have made me smile. A great and rewarding gift! SK: ![]() Sincerely, Regina |

Regina, I almost missed this one, there are so many poems to read, I cannot keep up. The creative endeavors of poets, painters and sculptors sometimes reveal more or less than they ever intended. This poem offers food for thought, and much needed creative mental nourishment. Thanks. |

An unusually original -- and good -- poem. It's rare that I find even any new twist on an old idea, but this is at minimum a novel take on the subject of creation, even if it does have some roots in Yeats' "dilemna" of separating the "dancer from the dance." A most enjoyable work. |

For Behold his soul should have known That what is Within is Without No matter how you try to twist Your Talent Mirrors your Doubt =================== what an interesting poem, there's much to think about in here. I enjoyed it. For Behold, your soul we've seen That light from deep within No matter what you choose to write We glimpse your beauty again [This message has been edited by Apachecat906 (edited 10-12-2001).] |
