Seasoning It was in the Winter, when we first crossed. A New Year and I became addicted first to poetry, then to your many masked words. Hard or soft, it was no pretense that you were in my thoughts, mirrored in my eyes, puzzled in my mind. Eyes, lips and soul, began the Spring of the year, held by your rhythm, the pattern of your words, stressed and unstressed, conditioning me to a Summer of wonder, lengthening in scene of natures touch, that words would often fail. It was then, yes, I think then, while trailing you, that I began to trace the healing of my wounds to words. Your words, warm as the Summer's breeze restoring my faith, mending my worn tapestry, bringing it to a richness that only you could paint, in such a flowering way. You were my forbidden, and cometh the Fall when all else was preparing to withdraw from life, sighing their last breaths of color readying to surrender again, you lifted me, stiffened my resolve, pressed me between pages. a very nice tribute.. nicely done Wynter.. nicely told with a story tellers touch to making the time pass seamlessly... I enjoyed a great deal.. |
