The more I read the less I know I know. Attainment of knowledge is frightening, as is Love, as is life. To stay in the darkness of ignorance and not see, question, is far safer than the blinding light of cognition. That's why we seek release in drugs, alcohol, madness. Life Entering it's light is painful, for the giver and the gifted. Wrenched from the dark comfort of indecision, to the screaming light of being. Love the undefinable. Overwhelming fear at it's approach, drawing us from the stagnant recesses of loneliness, to it's confusing whirlpool of pleasure and pain, light and dark. Fear of lighting it's candle of indeterminate length. Fear of remaining in it's spotlight, alone. I'll hide in sleep now, light offers infinite distractions. The danger is the time from the shuttering of my eyes, to the dark comfort found in the depth of the place where none can find me. Good night. |

change is always a scary thing, self exploration and discovery opens us up... allows light to illuminate our frailties, thats always a scary thing at first too.... wanting to retreat to comfort zones is normal. Many find that in the quiet of night... but even the night gives off light. Sleep beneath a moonbeam... there is always tomorrow to find your place in the sun. *S* ![]() Beautiful poem of serenity found in the night and sincerety of self. Well tomorrow holds only mystery |

Richard this is one of your very best, and sombre indeed. The more one learns of life the more confused one gets, and it is all part of the process of being! Bravo on this one Richard. ~* If you want a rainbow, sometimes you just have to put up with a little rain *~ |

We are always here for you Richard! We are always looking forward to what you will write when you wake. Solace found in limbo. You don't drift alone. Sincerely, Regina |

Oddly enough, I find myself inundated with many an enlightening thought during those splendid moments of somniferous solitude... ![]() |

I've often been envious of those who seem to be able to go through life with blinders on... Good Write ~Connie~ |
