[This one's an experiment with the dramatic monologue form, based on a true story... -MVS] ----------------------------------------------- "WAY OUT" (Copyright 2001 by: MARK V SHELDON) What's this, a thank you note? "You're supposed to leave at 4:30!" Oh really? Hmm... let's see... It's 4:33... No, correction: 4:34. Well, close the door! We can't get there soon enough! Sit down or stand behind the line! Otherwise, we're not goin' anywhere. I wonder if that Jackass walked...? OK--comin' through! It's not flashin' yellow for nothing! So now I'm four minutes early, eh? You know the schedule by heart? You willin' to make a bet? Let's look it up. You wanna bet? Hey: why don't you put your money where your mouth is!? Aww... he had to run to get on... Well, you know we're all lazy -- That's why I'm goin' so slow. Yup. Got nothing better to do with my time than make you late. That's why you're running, right? Isn't it too bad you have to pass by me on your way out? "Learn to let go of fear, doubt, and disbelief..." --THE MATRIX |
