Forget me not Existence is without sense or reason, Little replicating things of clay. We have our brief time and season, Born ,exist and then decay. A few in passing make some mark. But most are of little sway. Like the early morning lark, Sing briefly then drift away. Morn if you would forget me not. And sing my songs! Less my voice be soon forgot, And eternity be overlong. Good stuff Michael! I believe we would all like to leave our mark in some small way. Even if it's for our smile...or being a good friend to someone...but, we will all live on in the hearts and memories of those lives we have touched. Good write, enjoyed! ~Hugs across the pond, Nancy~

Arthur~ 'A few in passing make some mark. But most are of little sway. Like the early morning lark, Sing briefly then drift away.' Oh, my friend~ If the sparrow sang but for me I would note his falling from the tree And in his song at break of day I would have noted his gentle sway Which would mean his song of love Would drift back to me on songs from above Each of us leaves great the mark Upon the songs in loved one's heart No little sway upon the wind That came to blow through the heart of this friend~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

When I look at a forget-me-not flower, I will remember you. And Marge's response is 100% from me too. |
