Upon the stage of autumn
swirling leaves dance their ballet
tip toeing toward winter
the tutu in the breeze leads the way

Crackling music sings like grande violins
leaving burnt memories astray
Embers whisper softly to the sparrows
red breasted robins and blue jays
flying south across the heavens
in an allegro sort of way

Rustic fragrance intoxicates the wind
within the majestic skies
as jack o lanterns light the stage
ballerinas in the wind dance by

Autumn is dancing her petit pirouettes
a royale of amber golds and burnt reds
naked limbs dance their arabesque
upon the gingery stage of autumn

My favorite time as well, though it only lasts a short time before the dreaded WINTER attacks..
