I know this subject has been worn out musically and poetically. But I still just had to have my say! Dust For Dust (Twin Towers Rag) Some coverts call it courage but it's just a coward's role from Babylon where sly deals fight freedom's worthy goals. The innocent still suffer while scores are gettin stored right under the protection of the laws we enforce. Within our liberal towers murdered while they're young we lose our sacred legends at hands of evil scum. We can bear our children in the land of the free... how they gonna die next time?? Chorus It's dust for dust with that gloomy warning the time is up! There's children on the streets and children in our trust there's an eye for an eye and there's dust for dust. By fortified pennance our rules can be undone we all hear false witness while we're justice hung. We see how wicked works behind our words of truth look out! who's that migrant! standing next to you? Yet there beneath the farce where social songs drum where's the resurrection bringing back our sons? We can bear our children in the land of the free how they gonna die next time?? Chorus: It's dust for dust with that gloomy warning the time is up! There's children on the streets and children in our trust there's an eye for an eye and there's dust for dust. Celtrue@E3B1G92001...Roach&Morris The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |

ETHome~ 'Yet there beneath the farce where social songs drum where's the resurrection bringing back our sons? We can bear our children in the land of the free how they gonna die next time??' When we dare to voice our hearts ... it's NEVER 'worn out' ~ Thank you ... you touched a tear I forgot to cry~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

These two lines literally stuck in my heart and throat! there's an eye for an eye and there's dust for dust. And THIS can never be worn out, our cries will echo our distain, thank you for this. ~Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self~ Cyril Connolly |
