My life already gone
From playing with dispair
Living no longer an option
Damaged beyond repair

The coldness of winter
And fire glowing low
Never have I felt so little warmth
From a world I no longer know

Why am I still here?
Why am I alive?
Struggling as I am
Trying to survive

My head just above water
Gasping deperately for air
I never thought it would be like this
My life it isn't fair

This season of emmotions
Like winds, they rise and fall
Death creeping slowly towards me
Steadily, at a crawl

Speaking only with my eyes
A glaze of hazel mess
A lonely life in which I lead
My sins I can't confess

Better to die, and sleep
The never-waking sleep, than linger on
And dare to live when the souls life is gone.

Yes, we all live and we all die. But live your precious moments of life as if each one could be your last, and don't let despair turn those moments into a nightmare. And keep writing, and keep singing, and keep dreaming.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr, it's never fair is it, I know how you feel, how often have I written poems, that could quite easily be the same as this . Very good poem . Thanks .

This reminds me of some sayings: "Life is what happens when you're making other plans".. and "This isn't the life I ordered!" We have to take comfort in knowing that we are all in the same boat.. and we all have an oar that we can use to help stem the tide. Let's all do are part to spread love.. not the fear that evil uses for it's ammunition.
