Here, Now, Forever

The stillness and silence after great passion..
Salvation is a phone call away,
Yet still I relent in many ways,
It is so dreadfully painful to be alone.

I never thought I was this sensitive,
To the loving touch of an innocent girl,
That awakened long dead murmurings in my heart,
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

He loves her too, and feels the same way,
We were comrades in our campaign of passion,
But now we squabble over the treasure of our advance,
The conflict masked by words of friendship..

Shall I be a good friend?
Shall I give up the fight, and give him this chance for true love?
Or shall it be mine?
I haven't felt this way for years...

Love is God. Love is war. Love is what your life is for.

Wow, now there is a problem!  This is one of life's little problems not unheard of. I personally would not threaten a friendship, they are like gold.  Don't they say, "what will be, will be?"  Well done!
