Job 33 (19)“Man is also chastened with pain upon his bed, and with continual strife in his bones; (20) so that his life loathes bread, and his appetite dainty food. (21) His flesh is so wasted away that it cannot be seen; and his bones which are not seen stick out. (22) His soul draws near the pit, and his life to those that bring death. The Sun slipped down causing night To pass by, Not to notice, like the daylight, That which is there, buried life, Beneath sky, Under wet rags, full of strife But so empty of living; Forgotten, Removed from pain and being, Delusions seen, not believed, Forsaken, No one came by, no one grieved, No one offered or noticed, And he fades, Without a smile or grimace Finally numb without pain, And he fades, Blistered flesh of death’s stain Covered with dirt more than skin, Barely there Amidst the trash he lays in, Waiting with rats in their home, Not to care That they wait to gnaw his bone. He’s lost memory of food, And of drink, He’s lost belief in man’s good And the hope of charity, He can’t think He’s beyond reality. Gloom |

Thank you, Nakdthoughts, Glad you liked my morning verse, but if you read the book of Job you'll notice his unswerving faith beyond his earthly experience. Gloom |

I think I understand this, Job lost everything.....and wondered why. But he regained all and more and never lost his faith. Kathleen |
