One morning in the deep of winter I awaken with the dawn I look upon my window pane dainty etchings, there are drawn. Designs so intricate and fine sparkle in the sun's bright glow like a myriad of diamonds decorating my window. I gaze at these engravings thinking at my chance and luck for such splendor on this morning makes me utterly awestruck. My eyes dart over every inch, beauty everywhere they fall. What part of nature’s work of art do I love most of all? No decision can I make of this, no judgment close at hand for when I think my mind’s made up I see another just as grand. Then the revelation comes to me I should have thought of it before there’s not one small piece on it’s own that I can say that I love more Each fragment joins to make a whole not one more splendid than another just like the kind of love that we share with each other when you ask me what I love more than anything, it’s true there simply is no answer for I love every part of you! Poetry is an expression of feelings. I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves. |

I love the way you describe being enamored with winter's beautiful iced etchings, and the sheer joy of seeing so many wondrous things of nature. And then to take these feelings to the realm of love for your special person...now that is truly poetic beauty. |
