He is gone yet I stand. I don't need him to warm my bed. He is missing but not missed. I can go on and thrive without him. I shed no tears. No man deserves them. Nor is he worthy of regret or second thoughts. I am strong in spirit and soul. Someday he'll realize what he has lost, but he will never get it back. For he will be replaced by someone superior who will be my equal. Or I will be alone, a pillar of femininity not needing a foundation on which to stand tall. "I am nae poet, in a sense; |

Abigaile~ I really like the strength in this piece~ 'I am strong in spirit and soul.' 'a pillar of femininity not needing a foundation on which to stand tall.' Ahhhhhhh, WOMAN IS the foundation ! *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

what building can stand without a foundation? without a pillar? is a building anywhere held up by a single pillar? no, but by many. what then could this represent? community? or in this case, isolation and lack thereof. our greatest strength may be in community, and a growing relationship with god, who happens to be, by the way, the foundation up which to set your pillar. |
