With you, I am always wrong I never know just what to do The love I gave wasn't enough I always tried to give it to you Each time I tried you pushed me away Expressing my feelings I wasn't allowed So I stuffed them way down deep inside If I didn't feel them, they would not hurt Now you want me to give them to you But I can't bring them out from within I am too afraid of being hurt again But they are still there like before Every now and then, they do come up I quickly stuff back down deep inside My feelings I learned I had to protect Because hurting me, you never did care Fear tells me not to let them out That I will only be hurt once more So there I keep them so safe From anyone who wants to hurt me I know, I have to protect myself It's been proven that no other will To me, this has always been shown So I will keep them safe and sound By Sue copyrighted 9/15/01 [This message has been edited by Balladeer (edited 09-25-2001).] |

Fear tells me not to let them out That I will only be hurt once more So there I keep them so safe From anyone who wants to hurt me the thoughts of sheltering are common...but if isolated and no one is allowed close enough to hurt you..I fear the loneliness will indeed become a prison keeping you from enjoying life and experiencing true love.... may it get easier and may it get better for you..... |
