Everyone has a fault
but everyone also has bright sparks
the moment when they realize that
there is more to life than
cleaning the plate mother has set
When they become honest
within their own heart
they open up, surrounded by a sparkling world
of neverending sunsets over a cliff
looking out over the ocean
they open up to life
and they learn
to be parents, husbands, wives
and also they become the children
who respect the ones who gave
them this awesome chance
to live life as the stars burn
with heat unimaginable
but pale and weak compared
to the fire of a soul that
knows no limits to it's destiny

A real man

kisses his children goodnight

So true. 'Set your sights beyond your reach.' That's what someone told me long ago, when I was barely 10 years old. I didn't really listen or understand at the time, so I went about my merry way setting limits easily within reach, so as not to fail, not to fall, not to have to work too hard, since I'm basically a lazy soul. Now I find that stretching is really comfortable, but I still don't like to fall.
