Autumn Chill

The cold autumn chill
Sends shivers down your spine like
Icy finger tips

Final Grace

A leaf’s final dance
Swirling with grace in the wind
Beauty’s last tribute

Winter’s Decent

The earth begins to
Prepare for winter’s descent
A season of sleep.

Mistletoe Angel told me about these… Rictameters I believe.  The syllable count goes 2-4-6-8-6-4-2.    I’m not sure if they have to rhyme or not.. and I’m not sure if this is correct …lol.. but I tried

Without You

I know
That without you
My heart would cease to beat
My cold soul would be so empty
I would never be whole
Without your soft
Warm love.

Nicely done, Tara.  Only one problem.  My heater quit on me yesterday and now I'm having to sleep in the cold until central heat can be put in.  Your poem just helped remind me of how cold I'll be. LOL!    Write some more of these.  I love 'em.

Sunshine - Thank you   I'm glad you liked it!

Micheal -  !!! NO HEAT! Burrrrrr! I hope that gets fixed soon.  And thank you .. It's been awhile since I've done some haikus.. so here they are   Don't worry.. it's never to long before I do more.

Noah - *hugs* Thank you for your kind words, as usual.  I hope I did the Rictameter thingy right.. lol.  I figure it fit well in with the haikus.. counting syllables and all.  I'm glad you liked.

This is a great collection.
Can I keep it????
Isn't it wonderful how the poets here share their encouragement and their know-how? I love it...

Chris - Haiku isn't to hard   The syllables code is first line 5 second line 7 third line 5.  I'm sure you could do it   Thank you for stopping in.

Alan - Thank you   I'm glad you enjoyed

Midnightsun - Passions is a wonderful place.  When I started, no one in my life even knew that I wrote poetry.  I was so shy about my writing and my ability.  Now I'm not saying I'm wonderful..lol.. but I have learned SO much since being here.  People here have given me more than they could ever know.  Thank you for stopping in
