A Special Afternoon

Noticed him fishing
Was during my break
Took the scenic walk
Down by the lake

Glancing eye to eye
We made connection
With sparkling views
From lake reflection

I had been reading
So closed my book
He gave me a grin
While baiting a hook

Having sat nearby
In watching him cast
Hey care to join me
He had said at last

In patting the grass
The fun had started
Enjoying outdoors
Banter lighthearted

A special afternoon
The fish were biting
We also discovered
Our love of writing

The body language
Expressions agree
Connections made
The angler and me

(big hugggsssssss) Your loving heart shines with such happy memories in this beautiful poem! (sigh) I love fishing with my grandpa every summer I go out to visit him. (smiles) He would tell stories all the way throuh and I would be inspired always, for I love him very much. (smiles) BRAVO!!! I LOVE IT!!!
