The streetlight casts its amber glow
The light to guide me home
A comfort on a cold night
A comfort to quell my fear
You brighten my spirit
I know you will be there

Running from a fear unknown
Looking for a guiding light
Turning, seeing darkness
Then I see your light
I am saved
I know you will be there

But now the light is gone
The darkness closes in
I scream silently
And struggle violently
I search for your light
And you are not there
