The day we said goodbye
was the saddest in my life
The first night I slept alone
was too long
Pass midnight
morning looked good
But when morning came
I still felt the same pain
Pass midday
night looked good
But when the sun came down
I still missed you
You are even in my dreams
Your memories haunt me
day and night
My heart's still yours
I love you

Makes for a long day, and longer nights.
Missing someone just plain old hurts.

Nicely written, but painful nonetheless.

Sometimes the days and nights just seem to blend into one long string of memories, without page or day markers to help sort out the emotional highs and lows.

Superb Walker.  I write like this from time to time....I did one yesterday somewhat
similar....felt like putting a good ending on
it....but...yours expresses the anxiety and
the heartbreak that is so often felt.  And
it lingers,  takes a long time to go away.
Nicely done.
