               Sea and Sky

In the darkness they are one
Two bodies joined in vapor and mist
Forging bonds, holding each other in a tight embrace
But in the morning light they separate
       Each giving the other space
        With only a gentle touch
           On the far horizon

Thank all of you for the comments.  I am not sure what brought the thought of this one and the different meanings it takes.  Sometimes the words bring the feelings rather than the feelings bring the words.

Rusty Knight, oooooooh, I got a little rush when I read this. Very nice. Chris

Thanks James,  I liked the feeling of that too.  The first draft of the poem hinted at that and I changed a couple of words to make it come out stronger.

Thanks *S* Nancy Lee *S*  I just got a digital camera and have fell in love with it.  I love to take pictures of sunsets and butterflies.  It is great to be able to see a picture as you take it.

Thank you NightShade,  It is always nice to be able to give a lady a rush *S*  Even if it is a little one.  he blushes

Dan, I  enjoyed your lines:

But in the morning light they separate
       Each giving the other space
        With only a gentle touch

It's brings to me a special thought of giving each other enough space but still allowing the touching of emotions

The sea is a lovely place to be where the sky and the horizon meet.

The space in between is never that far away.

I love the soft strokes you brushed up against.  Very nice indeed
