When Night Shadows Fall ~*Marge Tindal*~  When the night shadows fall, quilting me in I turn and I toss, still thinking of him The giggles shared in the still of the night Familiar arms holding until first light I turn and then I toss, trying to sleep I see him standing there counting my sheep Counting the memories shared, eternally I know in his heart he's thinking of me Memories written on parchment in rhyme Sharing and caring forever through time Sung on the heartbeat of two souls meeting Sometimes a chorus, just bears repeating When the night shadows fall, wrapping me tight snuggled in memories written last night~ ~Bill~ in sweet dreaming memories~ Thank you for each of them~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
