Paper Heart My love flows through the silken ink from depths of poet’s quill And through a dreamers fantasy That memories instill My love is scrolled in verses Softly spoken to the world In paper dreams my fragile heart So willingly unfurled My love is etched on pages And in constellations’ stars For eyes around the universe To gaze into my heart My love exists in morning mist In sunlit drops of dew Inscribed within poetic phrases Born in thoughts of you How can a written love bestow The warmth and joyful bliss From poems laced in lover’s ink That scrolls a paper kiss The truth will be revealed to me When sonnets I impart Unfold sincerity that pours From out my paper heart Perhaps the poetry will warm The passion that you feel Perhaps a paper love will turn Into a love for real Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 10-30-2001).] |

This flows so nicely, and has such feeling, I think that paper heart just started beating. |

Unsurpassed excellence... to repeat my favorite parts would be to copy the poem... This is fantastic! |
