From where I sit I watch with glee And smell the scent of sweet With feelings I begin to see Why springtime’s hard to beat Each bud that formed while months were cold Have come to show their wears The petalled arms that all unfold The bee that now prepares The trees that were all bare and stark Now show their leaf and cover The busy ants all climb the bark Each day preludes another I see a rose so beautiful Which beckons time and touch I feel within so wonderful That nature gives so much The grass is green and lush and long A breeze makes garden dance The birds all fly above with song A smile as inner joy does glance The stock all lay in laziness All belly full content The sun it smiles with happiness For all the joy it’s sent The cloudless sky does all surround The air smells fresh and clean Today with joy I walk earths ground Today with life I’ve been |

*sigh* as we ease into winter I think about our spring to come and await the rebirth of the earth with gladness. You are in your spring now and have brought the vision to life with such perfection that I found myself embracing the beauty of all you have painted in this magnificent poem. I love it. Absolutely beautiful. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Startime, thank you for you wonderful reply, it is a great time of the year, we are getting a few wet days at the moment and some strange storms, but I love it all, it is a time of beauty and fragrance, of sharing and enjoyment. I hope yours to be as mine. Thanks again. Sincerely Rick |

Ahem. I believe you are now SITTING on your Writer's Block, just for the view's sake. As we go into our winter here, please keep us warm with your Spring days, and Summer sun... this is wonderful! |

Rick, Ah yes, please help us to keep thoughts of spring in our minds as we go into the winter. I'm hoping it will be a mild one and a quick return to spring. Dawn |

Rick - 'To-day with life I've been'.....I really enjoyed reading this poem. Thankyou for a breath of Spring. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

I am soooo jealous as we head into winter, my least favourite of the seasons. But I will go back and read your poem again to remind me of the glorious springtime. I will wait for it here, underneath my overcoat and scarf and mittens!!! (oh alright, so it's not THAT cold here yet. But it will be soon!!) If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |
