What Words

What words of thine that now burn on the page
do take me to a time now long forgot?
Such wisdom came from those once called a sage,
to know of when or where my mind cannot

With jester's grin you seek to hide your pain
of one whose countenance you did not kiss
And declare to all that you'll not abstain
from seeking for a love to bring you bliss

What quest for answers do your words extol
as you move among flowers sweet and rare?
Such is your search among them all your goal
while understanding much you are aware

Still in your heart is burning strong the hurt
as you struggle from darkness into light
You'll live, and empty tragedy avert
while feelings grow and passions you invite

(sigh) We all will live indeed, and only time will tell all the love and passions mean to all our hearts, no matter what we must surmount our hearts beat with pride and determination! (smiles) Wonderful inspiration, sweet Karen! (kiss on cheek) I love it! God Bless You this evening! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet star, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

A blushing thank you for such exposory verse and the flattering nod to subtle inspiration.

Noah....you are so right. Time will tell. I am glad you enjoyed this one.

Sandra....*giggling* well thank you for bringing this one back from the land of beyond. **hugs**to you, my friend.

Wanda....time moves on and if it is to happen it will. In the meantime I will weave dreams from my heart and wish on the stars. Thank you so much, I love your comments.

RSWElls....you are very welcome. Your words paint clear pictures to me and when written in a way that draws me into the past like that I lose myself in them. Your heart was so clear in that one. I am glad you like this poem.

Seymour....*grin* I always feel I have done well when I see you have commented. Thank you, kind Sir.

Rick....*sigh* your compliment warms my heart. Having read your work I consider it a honor that you feel the words I write. I will be looking forward to much more of your work.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

You sure "nailed this one", and it was simply fantastic.  You did hear his poem, read between the lines, and got right to the core of the feelings in it, to produce this poem.  It is one thing to be able to write, and quite another to be able to read well, and you do both extremely well.
