Something is amiss!
Poor Lucie lost her amethyst!
It happened last night
right after she was kissed
while hiding in the mist
by a mysterious interloper
who with lasso,
did rope her...

OH, MY!

Something is amiss....

The amethyst is not for tryst---
It is the stone of spirit kings...
Lucie has her amethyst
but you'll not find it in her ring.
It's in every word she writes--
from her this stone shall never part.
For though I do not know who her well?
I know she has a "purple heart!"

Julie Ann, glad to meet you. This was one of those instant poems, as a response to interloper's comment on Lucie's post. Glad you enjoyed.

Wow, serenity...that is so cool. You're quick on the draw, and the write. And of course, I don't know Lucie, but I'm sure you are right...she really didn't lose that amethyst.

Hey, what the hey. I almost never put anyone's name in the title...except MArge. But then, she is the Kingpen around here anyway. But Lucie is about to have her way....Look out LC.

HEHE, it really all began that day when Lucie said she missed the good old days of playful pokin, and Interloper challenged her to come up with something with the word amethyst in it. By that time, I think Lucie may have gone to bed, I saw no reply that night, so I took up the gauntlet and wrote this one for her.And that's the truth of the story, in all it's glory. Just fun fun fun, nothing to hurt anyone, all above board (or on the board)as comic relief.

Aha, so Poet De Vine may have that amethyst!

Dawn, Flutterwing, Seymour, Startime, glad you are following this trail of giggles. I'm still waiting for more 'players' to show up. This is a nice diversionary tactic, "the winter games" pip style.
