The heavens call to waiting ear
the shining stars would bring a tear
For peaceful sight is in the night
to soothe the soul til early light
Winds of calm caress the heart
tis no need to be far apart

The toil and strain throughout the day
falls away in early nights sway
Sounds around will bring the calm
as peaceful as a church choirs evening psalm
The sound of crickets play their tune
knowing the night birds will be there soon

Staring out into blackening skies
waiting to see the early moon rise
With the rise, I will see your face
shadowed with moonbeams, just a trace
For your presence will wrap around
silent as cats paws without sound

Is it your hand or just the breeze whiff
that touches my cheek in silent rife
To close the eyes is to hear you sigh
or is it only the trees I hear you by
Whatever is may, will be here now
in the darkness of night when love does allow

Oh Logan...this sings to me.  It just reaches out and touches me...making me want to dance in the night wind.  How beautifully your pen writes of the night.
Thank you for this one.

The evening gently beckoned you
to my side to greet anew
the nightly sweat of lover's dew.
There you stood beneath love's tree
with your tenderness, we were three
silence settling in silent glee.

Umm..so I'm a little rough on my rhyme, but it was inspired at least.

Sweet One, you always did have a way of making me sigh. This is beautiful.
