My Goodness, Lord
~*Marge Tindal*~

I smiled at the buttercup yellow
you splashed across my morning sky
Then said a quiet thank you, Lord
for the shower when things were dry

But, oh my, what I didn't count on
was the beauty you poured at sunset
Taking my breath away
It's one I won't soon forget

Magenta slipped from the sun
laying in satin sheets across the lake
Why even the wind knew to tiptoe in whispers
lest a ripple it should make

Across the sheen slipped the crimson
to lay the sun to rest
I paused in whispered applause to say,
"My goodness, Lord, this is the very best."

Night fell - and I caught it
My heart filled in greatest measure
Thank you, Lord ... Thank you, Lord
for all my daily treasures~

And thank you, Lord, for the gift you have given to Marge so that she can use words to paint the beauty of your sunset for us. Stunning is the only word I can find to discribe this poem and the graphic.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, your poem is soooooo lovely and the picture is dazzling! (big hugggsssss) I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!! Isn't it so amazing how He gives us so many things to be blessed by!    Ya know...only you can pen so many sunsets,
   and have each one be even more beautiful
   than the last...this is gorgeous!

   I LOVE this line in particular...

I was just thinking the same thing tonight. I was surrounded by friends, and I just thought...."yes, life is good. Life is very, very good". Beautifully penned Marge
