Sustenance

Last evening, late
my weakness arrived,
a craving, a hunger, a yearn.

Syrupy~ images
drippings of you,
taunting of dreams to return.

Oozing of memories
trickled on down,
steadily to influence taste.

Not in best judgement
aroused to the will,
to placate myself, Yes, in haste.

Vanilla and almonds,
caramel 'n cream,
chocolate syrup to spare.

Lips upon touching
let out such a sigh,
savoring each spoonful with flair.

To view me, in splendor
with thoughts smoothly sweet
flowing, discharging a rush

These memories of you
with syrupy~ thoughts,
left me dreaming in colors of blush.

~Wynter

You know, Maureen, I have been overindulging in sweets lately too. I think there is a reason(man) behind this

sometimes it is just wonderful to indulge Wynter.  Enjoyed this delicous desert.

Sounds absolutely delightful ... even your words appeared to glow!!
If the taste is appealing, try some Butterscotch the next time around ... it takes on a flavor all its own. **s**

Good job!!

It's a good thing it's too late to eat, or I'd have to grab something sticky, gooey and sweet!

Nakdthoughts,

Yummy. This poem is so wickedly sweet. Now where's my chocolate? LOL.
