“Pussycat, Pussycat,
~where have you been?”

Deep in the alleyway of shadowed maze,
In mist of morn and dank polluted haze,
Black in black with a mitten of pure white,
Hunter of mysteries hidden in night.

Hurry, scurry, from where ever you were.

Eyes that watch all that passes the alley,
Ranger amongst the tall concrete valley,
You’re seeing me as I begin my day,
I notice you and you’re melting away.

Hurry, scurry, from where ever you were.

What travels have you known during the night
Where have you laid your soft mitten of white,
Who did you spy upon in you travels
Have you a mysterious tale to tell?

Gloom

Thank you, Kit,
The form I call a Gloom Sonnet, is my own device,
With the repeating line ( or very similar )
separating the three 4 line parts.
After using it I looked to see if the style had another name,
But found none, so I named it after myself.
Perhaps to arrogant of me?
I am pleased you liked it.

Thank you, Nakdthoughts
Hope you enjoy 9 lives of happiness.

Thank you, Red-uni,
I am pleased you enjoyed it.

Thank you, Startime,
I’m sure Thriller (that’s the cat’s name) liked being wrote about,
Just to give you enjoyment.

Gloom
