She is a fleeting thought in his permanence. She wonders if he will contain her longer than the stinging bee's lifespan. She hears a mantel clock ticking his indecision. She sees what he has done with the minds of lesser importance. She wants to be valued higher than his misdirected pride. She is a fleeting thought in his permanence. She pretends she is his dinner guest, waking to breakfast. She feels his disapproval of her graying hair, of her set ways. She touches her temple and wills its pulse to turn back time but She worries it wouldn't make a difference. She cries briefly, realizing She is but a fleeting thought in his permanence. She understands not everything can be understood. She says it is never too late to begin again but She dreams, She tries, She hopes, yet She remains a fleeting thought in his permanence. I don't know which is worse, being merely a fleeting thought, or no thought at all. But don't worry about gray, it's a beautiful color. I haven't decided yet whether or not to cover mine....now is that ambivalence, ignorance, or bliss? This is the first time I've read your work. I enjoyed this. |

Wynter--- Some things aren't worth a whole lot of thought, especially a woman's ambivalence. *grin* Midnitesun--- It's bliss. Once you start coloring your hair you won't want to stop. (I'm speaking from personal experience. *chuckle*) Thank you both for reading! Music, tonal clear & pure, |
