malaise

The edge is lost
  lost in malaise
a queasy stomach
a nervousness of
  things done, or is it
    things undone
I never know which

Like a balloon (in there)
  swollen with fermented gas
    from a bad idea
I wonder what is going on
  as I sit
    trying to distract myself
      with this scratching . . .

While the cat crunches
  a leftover
    and howls for more

(sigh) Oh my gosh, sometimes I too feel nervous and then I get this same kind of queasiness! (big hugggssssss) Wonderful honest thoughts, dearest friend, you always write with such talent! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Is it fleas do you think??!!    Sorry, just back from the pub and my mind works in strange ways after a couple of pints. Seriously, very interesting, introspective write.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Angel -
Thank you, but you are much too kind.  I just write about what is in front of me, or thereabouts, whatever it is.

Tracey -
FLEAS?   HaHaHa   From the cat?  Now be kind.  My cat(s) wouldn't dare!  (the 'scratching' pen, of course)
And no, I've not been to the pub.

Krawdad,
Now that would put even me on edge.  Talk about a state of mind.  However, you defined it well.

*giggling* I am glad your cats wouldn't dare to share with you. Your pen scratches very well without having to scratch other things as well.   You poem gives one pause to think, my friend. Well done.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Thanks Larry,
I suppose it's either the edge or its associated 'plain' of existence.
Thanks Startime,
One does seem to have to pause in order to think these days.

Very cool write.  Liked this part most.  (Glad the flea thing was just a rumor!)
