Again

I cannot doubt the path I chose
though piercing thorns have marred the rose
For I have won a garden’s fill
of violet and daffodil

But if I lived by my desire
I‘d not have walked through stinging briar
My days ill spent would only yield
a daisy meadow’s yellow field

Though wisdom triumphed in the end
I’d love to try it all again

Ah...if we but knew than what we know now would we have avoided the painful lessons we had to learn. I am sure all of us would change something but I am glad for the learning as all the pain and sorrow made me the person I am today. This is a wonderful poem that speaks to me. Thank you, so much, for sharing it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

~Oh I'll read this again and again. "For I have won a garden’s fill of violet and daffodil",...keep remembering this, for I must take notice and remember too. This is great. *Peace, and thanks.

If your desire is to be among the daisies in a meadow, you should be easily found ...
... I would just look for the most sensuous of petals attracting the hungriest of bees.
Quite a timeless piece, worth numerous reads.
Most excellent.

Oh, I do like this one Liz. And the path you chose (or that chose you) is strewn with beauty and grace.

(big hugggsssssss) Going through it all again indeed has its benefits; I believe the tears we cry and the laughter we share is what makes us the loving people we are today. (sigh) What a wonderfully expressed poem, sweet Elizabeth! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
