Again I cannot doubt the path I chose though piercing thorns have marred the rose For I have won a garden’s fill of violet and daffodil But if I lived by my desire I‘d not have walked through stinging briar My days ill spent would only yield a daisy meadow’s yellow field Though wisdom triumphed in the end I’d love to try it all again Elizabeth Santos |

Ah...if we but knew than what we know now would we have avoided the painful lessons we had to learn. I am sure all of us would change something but I am glad for the learning as all the pain and sorrow made me the person I am today. This is a wonderful poem that speaks to me. Thank you, so much, for sharing it. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

~Oh I'll read this again and again. "For I have won a garden’s fill of violet and daffodil",...keep remembering this, for I must take notice and remember too. This is great. *Peace, and thanks. |

If your desire is to be among the daisies in a meadow, you should be easily found ... ... I would just look for the most sensuous of petals attracting the hungriest of bees. Quite a timeless piece, worth numerous reads. Most excellent. |

Just a lovely stroll through love's garden. Good one!! Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

This is so beautifully expressed. Simply enchanting If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Oh, I do like this one Liz. And the path you chose (or that chose you) is strewn with beauty and grace. 'I cannot doubt the path I chose though piercing thorns have marred the rose For I have won a garden’s fill of violet and daffodil' |

(big hugggsssssss) Going through it all again indeed has its benefits; I believe the tears we cry and the laughter we share is what makes us the loving people we are today. (sigh) What a wonderfully expressed poem, sweet Elizabeth! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
