It should soothe your very soul
to watch my solitaire flash cold
a sparkle on a finger's whim
the irony of ice--from HIM.
To feel the heaviness refrain
to think I trusted once again
and all the sparkling of dew
is all my memory left of you.

strange, how teardrop from a star
outshines a diamond, charcoaled scar...
naught but ashes in compress
proof that fire never rests
in the trailing of my tears
mascara mapping out my fears,
from my eyes and down my cheek--
a tiny spark of me, in seek,
outshining diamonds
treasured keep
a universe
in one tear's weep.

Sad, no doubt, but written with such excellent use of imagery. Nice work, my friend.

Filled with sadness and the priceless treasure of tears shed that outshine the most spectatular diamond. *sigh* tears are warm and filled with emotion...diamond are cold and filled with glitter. This poem touched me. I hope you are not sheding tears today, dear one.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
