Determined downfall escorted out a harsh Summer acting as harbinger of cool, cleansed Fall. A non lethal Sun illuminated all as wind whisked a dirty cotton veil revealing as deep an azure heaven as a pure sky could yield. Gleaming orange Spanish tile aligned as braided hair atop whitewashed walls with windows framed in wrought iron. The black grillwork fronting each window and balcony cupped flower boxes, their occupants ignoring formality in individual billowed ballet. A raven alit on the herringbone brick, his last act in breaking his descent was to display a blue-black velvet fan. Aground his new form, that of a stiff necked Maltese ignored me keenly searching for advantage over small life or an easy carrion repast. Dragonflies, doubtless the inspiration for Mr. Sikorsky, altered their altitude freeing me the nuisance of mosquitos. Butterflies whose seeming aimlessness implies an existence void of schedual gleefully visit fauna found friendly and attractive. My own Autumn's light reveals increasing non-concern for anything more taxing than an eased life of observance and appreciation. Changing winds found healing coax relaxed breath as nature's fingers rush my hair. One last piece will modify from puzzle to complete life's work of art .....that would be sharing this with you. |

Absolutely magnificent. Vivid imagery, interesting points of view. As usual, one which I will save. I especially liked those care-free billowing curtains, and those hovering hungry dragonflies. |

You share very well, puzzle pieces and the fit... you've garnered yet another fan, hopefully to send more flames flying upward in continued write... write on... |

*sigh* I felt I was at your side following your eyes as they watched all the beauty around you then I felt my heart tug as I saw the sadness of not having her to share it with reflected in your eyes. This heartfelt poem sings so perfectly that the vision of it comes clearly to the very heart of your reader. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Yet another piece of excellent writing. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Oh, I will read this more than once. This touched me so deeply and you know I really don't know why. I can't put my finger on it but it had a feeling to it, as if the seasons had suddenly come alive and were speaking just to me! And the imagery was colorful and fresh. Thank you for an inspiring piece. -befriend yourself and you will never be alone- |

No one...self exiled to a Gulag could possibly write words as well as you have these. The Imagery is fantastic and your vocabulary is superb. Thank you for a beautiful read. |

Richard I could not take one piece of this poem and display it as the best, for the entire piece was simply exquisite. You know that I think there is no one like you for painting images, and the longing in the last line actually stung my heart. What a beautiful piece and one I have kept as my absolute favorite of yours now. This was without a doubt the most beautiful piece of writing and imagery I had seen in a long, long time. I wish you and Martie, Janet Marie, or Decaflame would write one together - now that would be something! ~I always have time to listen to someone talking from their heart~ |

You do change so well!!!!! Each vision has your personal signature of verse. Being the only thing consistent...you offer it gently and it makes one compelled to the threshold like no other. So glad you shared this with us. Sincerely, Regina |
