In my arms

I want to wake up in the morning,
With my arms around her,
and my eyes upon her.
I want to feel her skin,
As the warm sunlight,
Comes rushing in.

I want to whisper softly,
In her ear,
"I love you."
As I draw her near.

And time stands still,
Like time long gone,
When she's in my arms.

lost in thought, found in words.
