If a man whispers peace in a field for the dead

If a man whispers peace in a field for the dead
will he be heard or will it be said
that the voice of one man is a lie?

If a man prays for peace from a box in a park
will he be heard or just lost in the dark
with the murmurs of madmen and lies?

If a man cries for peace and names Allah or Christ
will he be heard or were they sacrificed
as collateral damage on high?

If a man offers peace with peace in his heart
will he be heard? Is that where it starts?
If it's true then by God we must try.

If a man prays for peace
then he's earned his release
for he has done his part.

And should all pray for peace
then the violence would cease
it takes each for war to part.

I believe even a whisper would be heard. And each heart must whisper and shout for peace every day. Thanks for a good read.
