Exposed Why do you often stare at me - Like I've clearly lost my mind? What makes you walk so fast - That I'm unfairly left behind? How can you escape my kiss - When you are about to leave? Are you repulsed by the dress I wear - The one with my heart upon its sleeve? |

Ouch. This sounds like a prelude to an ending. |

Oh Chris!! Some heavy thoughts to ponder here tonight... These being just some of them. How many of us ask these same questions? Got me thinking girl!! Well done, love ya, 'Teed.' ~I've loved you forever, in lifetimes before.~ |

Midnitesun - not to worry, after all, beginnings are so much more fun than endings. NancyLee, I don't know where my thoughts go sometimes...oh well, you know me. Thankyou both for commenting. Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

WOW!!!You have truly brought to words the questions many of us have asked ourselves. I can feel this poem strongly...my weakness is that I too often wear my heart on my sleeve. Great work. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Wow, this is an amazing poem. Such power of feeling packed into those few lines. Are you repulsed by the dress I wear - The one with my heart upon its sleeve? Those last lines really, really got me. Great writing If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Tracey - Thankyou so much for reading and commenting. My muse has either been tired, or reluctant to write lately. There are so many fine poets out here - I am a little "pen-shy." Hugs, Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Balladeer - Thankyou dear poet for your response. Chris Lady - How sweet of you to include a picture of Nightshade...always wondered what it looked like. Thankyou Corinne - Not to worry - this was just some thoughts that my little muse eased into my being. Thankyou, Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |
