Stutters Let it stand gestures unappealable songs less recognizable Touching has gone the way of old hats bought on a whim A fedora's brim capped with dust the warmth of a wearer's brow its felt will kiss no more Folded hands resolute in conviction the dying game has come and gone Time stutters for no one's stumbling let the earth find your gate brisk and teeming There in the near light a cradle waits to coddle your crimson need Willie ©2001 |

Time stutters for no one's stumbling what a FANTASTIC line.....very profound piece Poetic verse nestled in the warmth of my heart, reveals the sweet yearnings of my soul.... |
