A picturebook of nature's beauty Gradually unfolded before my eyes Beginning with the breathtaking beauty Of the most spectacular sunrise The tree fern was covered in dew The fronds glistening in the sun This amazing display of nature Had really only just begun More beauty began to unfold As I walked out onto the lawn In a nest I spied four blackbirds Who had only just been born The bees and butterflies searched for nectar Amongst the smorgasboard of blooms High up above was the bird of paradise tree With gigantic leaves that loom A kaleidescope of color Can be found here beneath the sun What a wonderful place to unwind When all of my chores have been done No price can be put on this paradise This part of nature is mine to keep Pleasant dreams I'll have here in my garden As I relax here and drift off to sleep Suetang |
