~x~x~ Incantation's Wine ~x~x~"Her eyes are bright glowing orbs, They burn like embers in the night. Her once flaming red hair is dull, Her skin ashen, from loss of fight. Her hands are as cold as ice, Her heart now carved out of stone, Hauntingly she beckons me once more, She won’t leave well enough alone. And in the wake of this waning wisdom, Her ghost tries to block my path; She seeks to hold my hand once more. I feel terror, as she sports a laugh. I am really in no condition, To resist her cup of incantation wine, As it causes constant new perdition, While she crawls into my mind. Screaming out for intervention, I seek peace through some release, But her spirit song, holds me strong, Forcing on my soul, a brand new crease. So I shall venture to unknown waters, As I hear her spirit wolf call. And trust that my inner voice, Bends like willow when I fall. Friendship binding, not forgotten, Will not purge in desperate grief. The biggest problem with a ghost, Is that even death won't bring me relief. music: "theme from Casper" picture: personal archives ~ Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance ~And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance ~ I hope you dance. Thank you for reading this, it was a nightmare I had! Lady In White, I would just as soon let it rest, but thank you. [This message has been edited by Mysteria (edited 07-25-2001).] |

Zinsser: I had hoped the haunting feeling I felt would come through, and I am glad it did, and you like it. ~ Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance ~And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance ~ I hope you dance. (Lee Ann Womack) |

Sharon, although this had a haunting illumination from it...I understood the vision...as you have captured EXACTLY the way I felt for months after losing my dad in the automobile accident. Everywhere I went and everytime I closed my eyes, he seemed to be standing there waiting to tell me something, and it was such a strong and captivating emotion that found me always powerless to break free from it. This was absolutely excellent...and it certainly spoke to me! Hugs, smiles, and much love to you, dawn |

Hauntingly she beckons me once more, She won’t leave well enough alone. ======================== As it causes constant new perdition, While she crawls into my mind. ======================= And trust that my inner voice, Bends like willow when I fall. Friendship binding, not forgotten, Will not purge in desperate grief. The biggest problem with a ghost, Is that even death won't bring me relief. ======================== Sharon this is an intense and impressive write... Im sorry this comes from personal experience, but it inspired a powerful poem from you the imagery, the vocabulary, the cadence irs all written to poetic perfection...and the impact of that last line.. poetry in motion... very well done poetess... perhaps the poetic purge will help release you from the dreams hold. take care jm only you could give love that satisfies the soul... |

Dawn (Martha), I know you know what I mean and I feel so sorry you know this one too, thanks for your gentle hug, I will take it, mauh! Janet Marie, I woke up and wrote this terrible piece. I was not even going to pot this, but for some reason went looking for a picture to depict what I saw, and had to share it. I used to do dark all the time, and glad to say, I don't feel compelled to do that anymore. (maybe I should have put in dark?) Thank you for reading this, and the last line is so true if we choose it to be. ~ Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance ~And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance ~ I hope you dance.
