Regrets spring from
Experience’s quarried depths
as floods of phrase

to darken prose
and poem

...because it is the best source? A good question...sometimes it is very hard to write of someone else's hurt, but perhaps, we should look there, to see us, better?...

Right between the eyes with that last stanza, Ron! Very powerful and descriptive. A bigger question to ask would be: "Why always regrets?"

Seems to be true for many, that the muse comes from the lonliness of someone gone. At least thats how I read this. Nice work, it hits you hard at the end.
