Night breezes blow quietly, touching on my face,
        like your tender soft lips to mine,
                with the warmest kiss…
But now the warmth is gone, and I lie here alone,
        tears flow like the rain,
                as my mind starts to reminisce…

What we once had, the devotion and closeness,
        very special they are to me,
                I’m uncertain, if they are still there…
I gave to you freely, everything that I had,
        are they now gone,
                these things I hold so dear…

My fingers touched your skin, and we caressed,
        lips of caring met,
                and heated fires burned…
Deep are the thoughts, of those special moments,
        when two became one,
                and lost hearts would yearn…

Please know my sorrow, and free my being,
        of it’s sadness, and it will know,
                if you are still there…
No longer did we need search, for our rainbow,
        but I wonder if now it is gone,
                the same as, this precious love affair…

Oh, I hope not. The flow here definately suggests that it isn't gone. I hope the sorrow turns to joy. Very soon.

Sounds like lots of devotion here, what a wonderful thing. Stay strong and I wish you the best.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Ahhh Bill.....I know this sorrow that you speak of all to well. You have my empathy dear man. Hugs to you. Well written verse.
